The Policy of the Members of the MTL PR Consultancies

The successful operation of PR consultancies is based on the trust of its customers, target groups and co-operating partners. To achieve and maintain this, a member of the MTL PR Consultancies

  1. Complies with the law and the EU regulations concerning the industry, and good business practice, operates openly and sincerely, respecting the principles of free communications.
  2. Disseminates information which is based solely on fact. The consultancy is, however, dependent on information provided by the client, and cannot take responsibility for the possible inaccuracy of the information.
  3. Monitors the openness of its contacts and communications in such a way that a third party can recognise the origin of the given information.
  4. Does not disclose its previous or present customers' business secrets or other confidential information or use it for its own economic advantage.
  5. Does not represent or serve two competing or contradictory interests without their consent.
  6. Considers the quality of work as the central criteria of its operation so that implemented projects serve the customer's needs and objectives.
  7. Does not enter into a contract in which the price of the work is based on the volume of material published in media, but on how demanding the work is or the extent of responsibility, need for special skills, time used for work or otherwise measurable volume of work.
  8. Invoices only its principal for its services. News items, press releases or articles produced as a service are free of charge to the media.
  9. Develops its personnel's skills and takes care that employees are familiar with these regulations and complies with them.
  10. Tries in every way to promote respect toward the PR consultancy field and its professionals and refuses to unfoundedly criticise competitors
